Not everyone is at the same place on their journey and we will always walk alongside each other as we grow.  As people of God, we do not have all the answers to all faith questions nor do we expect that everyone will agree on all matters of faith life.  That&#8217;s okay with us because God made us each unique and provides us with our own life experiences that form who we are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are a community committed to the work of racial equity, bringing justice for all of God&#8217;s beloved people. We welcome those who are seeking God\u2019s love and grace for the first time or as a life long believer. We welcome because Jesus shows us how to welcome in the gospels, regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or relationship status. We welcome all people without regard to addictions, physical or mental health, imprisonment, socio-economic circumstances, political affiliations, or anything that too often divides us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are our basic beliefs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>We believe in the Holy Trinity; God the Father or Parent, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.<\/li><li>We believe that God is the creator of the universe.<\/li><li>We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Good News of Jesus Christ is the power of God for the salvation of God&#8217;s people. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, human beings can be reconciled to God.<\/li><li>We believe the Holy Spirit calls, gathers, enlightens, sanctifies, and keeps the whole Christian church on earth.<\/li><li>We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God. Inspired by God&#8217;s Spirit speaking through their authors, they record and announce God&#8217;s revelation centering in Jesus Christ. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source and norm of the church&#8217;s proclamation, faith, and life.<\/li><li>We believe all human beings are born in sin and can not live the life God intends for us on our own. We believe we are justified by grace through faith on account of Christ.<\/li><li>We believe that God comes to us through the Means of Grace, the Word of God and the Sacraments of Baptism and Communion. Through them, God helps us understand and receive the benefits of a relationship with God. God graciously speaks to us through the Law, what we need to do; and the Gospel, what God has done for us.<\/li><li>We believe that God values and embraces each person as a beloved child, that the Spirit gives a diversity of gifts for the common good, and that Jesus Christ calls us to work for justice.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Peace and Hope, we are a community of followers of Jesus Christ who gather to deepen our faith through worship and faith formation.
